The Australian Kookaburra bullion coin is one of the most popular silver bullion coins worldwide. Since 1990 the Perth Mint has struck the Kookaburra in different weight units and with annually changing designs. In 2024 the motive features a detailed depiction of a kookaburra flying over a gorge. It holds a captured snake in its claws. The inscription "KOOKABURRA", the mintmark "P125" for the 125th anniversary of the Perth Mint and the year of issue, weight and fineness of the coin complete the design. For the first time, the reverse shows the Dan Thorne portrait of King Charles III, as well as the denomination.
The kookaburra is the largest member of the kingfisher family and the national bird of Australia. The coin was minted by the Perth Mint from one ounce of 99.99% pure silver. The mintage is limited to 500,000 pieces worldwide. The bullion coin is delivered in a protective capsule.
INFO: Delivery per 20 coins in the original roll from the Perth Mint.
