To celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2020, the Australian Kookaburra Investment Coin has a special design. A laughing Kookaburra, perched on a rooftop at dawn with rising sun, graces this wonderful 99.99% pure silver issue as a synonym for the Australian outback. The Australian Kookaburra is the largest member of the kingfisher family. For the anniversary a limited edition with 500,000 pieces of 1 ounce silver was struck by the Perth Mint. The reverse of the coin shows the denomination, the inscription "AUSTRALIA", the years "1990" and "2020", the Jody Clark portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elisabeth II and Stuart Devlin's depiction of a Kookaburra on a tree stump which appeared on the bullion coin from 1990. This beautiful silver coin is delivered in a capsule.
