The Perth Mint dedicates this rectangular silver bullion coin to the Chinese Dragon. The motive depicts a stylised Chinese dragon. The treasure of the dragon is visible in the background, consisting of treasure chests, coins and statues from ancient civilizations. The mintmark 'P' of the Perth Mint is also included in the design. The reverse shows the Jody Clark effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, supplemented with the dates of her reign "1952-2022", the denomination "1 DOLLAR", the year of issue "2023" and the weight and fineness "1oz 9999 Ag". In Chinese culture, the dragon is revered as a divine mythical creature, a symbol of power, strength, wealth, and good fortune. Dragons are also believed to be the rulers of water and weather. The rectangular bullion coin struck from one ounce of 99.99% pure silver is limited to 250,000 coins worldwide.
