This 2022 silver bullion coin is dedicated to the famous Sailing Ship Bounty. The coin was struck from 1 ounce 99.99% pure silver in uncirculated quality. The Bounty was a three-master of the British Admiralty, which set off on a voyage to the South Seas in 1787 under the command of Lieutenant William Bligh to bring cuttings of the breadfruit tree from Tahiti to the Antilles. On the planned return voyage, the historic "Mutiny on the Bounty" occurred on 28 April 1789. The sailing ship is depicted in detail on the motive. Below the Bounty, the denomination "1 DOLLAR" and the fineness and weight are shown. The reverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the inscription "COOK ISLANDS" and the year of issue 2022.
