Important Note - The 2023 Britannia bullion coins were still struck with the fifth and final effigy of Queen Elizabeth II until December 1st, 2022. From December 1st, the first portrait of King Charles III is featured.

The 2023 issue of the Britannia bullion coin was struck by the Royal British Mint from one ounce of 99.9% silver and features the Britannia as every year. The female figure in armor is symbolic of the country's patriotism. The motive of the silver bullion coin is surrounded by the inscriptions "BRITANNIA 2023" and "1 OZ 999 FINE SILVER". The reverse features for the first time the portrait of King Charles III - the successor to Queen Elizabeth II, who died in September 2022. Since 1997 the British Royal Mint issues the popular silver coin Britannia - the first silver bullion coin from Europe. The bullion coin in uncirculated quality is delivered loose.
