The official coronation of a monarch is a historic event with thousands of years of tradition. In 2023, King Charles III was crowned, anointed, blessed and consecrated by the Archbishop of Canterbury in Westminster Abbey. The church has been the place where coronations have been held since 1066. Since the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022, her son has assumed the regency and holds the title of "King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland" - while the actual coronation ceremonies took place later on May 6th, 2023.
The silver bullion coin commemorates this special event. Struck from one ounce of 99.9% silver, the motive features the official Royal Cypher of King Charles III. The inscription "THE CORONATION OF KING CHARLES III 6 MAY 2023" frames the design. The reverse of the coin presents the portrait of King Charles III wearing a crown on his head. The silver bullion coin celebrating the coronation of King Charles III is delivered loose.
INFO: If you order 25 coins, the coins are delivered in the original tube of the Royal British Mint.
