The well-known gold bullion coin is now also issued in silver for the 50th anniversary of the Krugerrand. The Krugerrand silver coin is slightly larger in diameter than the golden coin. The design of the Krugerrand has been modified in the last 50 years, but the basic motive has remained unaltered. The averse shows the profile of Paul Kruger, South African President of 1882-1902. While the reverse shows the legendary "Springbock", the unmistakable motive of every Krugerrand.
