This bullion coin was struck by the Perth Mint from one ounce 99,99% silver in uncirculated quality. The motive features a detailed picture of the Manucode bird of paradise on a branch. The Manucode birds of paradise are native to the lowland forests of New Guinea and nearby islands. The birds have black-glossed purple and green plumages. The coin design includes the inscription ‘AUSTRALIAN BIRD OF PARADISE 1OZ 9999 SILVER’ and the Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark. The second issue of the Australian Bird of Paradise comes in a coin capsule.
