In 2013 the Perth Mint launched, beside the classics Kookaburra, Koala and Lunar, a new silver coin program in the classical 1 ounce silver size. Right from the beginning, the first issue of the new series Australian Stock Horse was a success and quickly developed to a demanded collector coin. In Australia the coin was sold out within a couple of days.
