The background features the sun disappear behind the distant horizon. The inscription "BOTTLENOSE DOLPHIN" and "1 oz .999 FINE SILVER" are on the edge of the coins obverse. The reverse shows the monetary denomination and the new Jody Clark effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Bottlenose dolphins are the most common members of the family of oceanic dolphin.
