The Australian Koala silver coin was struck by the Perth Mint from 1 Oz of 99.99% pure silver. The motive of the 2025 release in the Australian Koala Coin Collection features a koala on a gum tree branch. Also included in the design are the inscriptions "KOALA" and "2025 1 oz 9999 SILVER". As a special issue for the Beijing International Coin Expo, which takes place from October 31st to November 2nd, the design of this coin also shows a Privy Mark "Panda". The reverse depicts the portrait of King Charles III as well as the denomination.

Together with the kangaroo, the koala is one of the most iconic representatives of Australian wildlife and a beloved symbol of the continent thanks to its endearing appearance. At first glance, koalas may appear to be solitary creatures. Yet, a closer look reveals that they actually live within a well-defined social structure. Each individual occupies its own territory, complete with specific trees for feeding and resting. Their diet consists exclusively of eucalyptus leaves, which are low in nutrients. Despite this modest fare, koalas are remarkably selective and feed on only a few of the roughly 600 eucalyptus species found across Australia. The Australian Koala coins are in strong demand within collectors and investors worldwide.
