The Australian Koala silver coin was struck by the Perth Mint from 1 Oz of 99.99% pure silver. The motive of the 2024 release in the Australian Koala Coin Collection features a koala on a gum tree branch. Also included in the design are the inscriptions "KOALA" and "2024 1 oz 9999 SILVER". As a special issue for the Beijing International Coin Expo, which takes place from November 1-3, the design of this coin also shows a Privy Mark "Panda". The reverse depicts the portrait of King Charles III as well as the denomination.
Together with the kangaroo, the koala is one of the most famous representatives of Australian fauna and is considered one of the most popular symbols of Australia, not least because of its cute appearance. On the first view, koalas seem to be loners. Only on closer observation is it possible to see that they live in a stable social system. Each animal has its own territory. In it there are solid food and sleeping trees. Koalas eat only the nutrient-poor leaves of the eucalyptus tree. They are still very fussy. Of the approximately 600 eucalyptus species in Australia, they accept only a very small number as food. The Australian Koala coins are in strong demand within collectors and investors worldwide. Limited to 3,000 pieces worldwide, the Koala Privy Mark silver coin is delivered in an illustrated blistercard.
