This 2024 bullion coin from the Perth Mint is the fourth issue of the series dedicated to the Wombat. The coin was struck from one ounce of 99.99% pure silver and features a depiction of one of Australia's most famous marsupials. Other design elements include eucalyptus trees, birds and clouds, the mintmark “P125”, which commemorates the 125th anniversary of the Perth Mint, as well as the weight, fineness and the year of issue 2024. The reverse features the Dan Thorne effigy of King Charles III and the denomination.

The Wombat is a fascinating marsupial native to Australia. These cuddly animals belong to the Vombatidae family and are known for their robust, stocky bodies and short, strong legs. Wombats have soft, dense fur that protects them in various shades of gray-brown to sand-colored. Despite their rather clumsy appearance, wombats are surprisingly fast and agile diggers. They use their powerful claws and teeth to dig extensive burrow systems where they find shelter from predators and extreme weather conditions. The mintage is limited to 25,000 pieces worldwide.
