The 2024 issue of the Perth Mint Wombat Premium Bullion Coin was struck from one ounce of 99.99% pure silver. The Wombat is a fascinating marsupial native to Australia. These cuddly animals belong to the Vombatidae family and are known for their robust, stocky bodies and short, strong legs. Wombats have soft, dense fur that protects them in various shades of gray-brown to sand-colored. Despite their rather clumsy appearance, wombats are surprisingly fast and agile diggers. They use their powerful claws and teeth to dig extensive burrow systems where they find shelter from predators and extreme weather conditions.

The design of the limited edition silver bullion coin features a colorful depiction of one of Australia's most famous marsupials. Other design elements include eucalyptus trees, birds and clouds. The obverse features the mintmark “P125”, which commemorates the 125th anniversary of the Perth Mint, as well as the coin's weight, purity and the year 2024. The reverse of the coin features the Dan Thorne effigy of King Charles III and the face value. The mintage is limited to just 2,500 pieces worldwide.
