The new Australian Lunar Series III by the Perth Mint starts in 2020 with the 'Year of the Mouse'. The first animal in the Chinese zodiac calendar is the mouse, which is honored and celebrated with this coin. The first issues of the 12-year Lunar III series feature original artworks of the little fearless explorers. The small rodents are very curious and explore their surroundings daily. With great imagination and keen intuition, mice rely on their clever minds to memorize places, paths, obstacles, feeding spots and other things. The colorized motive of the 99.99% pure silver coin depicts two mice feeding a fresh corncob. Also included in the design are the Chinese sign for "mouse", the inscription "MOUSE 2020" and the mintmark "P" of the Perth Mint. Those born under the sign of the Chinese lunar mouse in 2020, 2008, 1996, 1984, 1972, and every 12th preceding year are said to be smart, resourceful, adaptable and kind. Their motto is "all or nothing" and their mind is razor-sharp. They always fall to their feet and immediately get up again. The silver bullion coin in color is delivered in a capsule.
