This Sydney Money Expo Special Release is part of the Australian Lunar Series III from the Perth Mint and is dedicated to the Year of the Rabbit. The fourth issue of the 12-year Lunar III Series was struck from a 1/4 ounce of silver and features a colored image of a watchful rabbit with his ears erect next to another rabbit reaching out for a blooming twig. The design also includes the Chinese character for "Rabbit," the inscription "RABBIT 2023" and the traditional mintmark "P" of the Perth Mint. The reverse shows the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the denomination and fineness. Those born under the sign of the Rabbit in the years 2023, 2011, 1999, 1987, 1975, 1963 and in every 12th year before are considered to be talented and ambitious. The Rabbit is popular everywhere and a good companion, distinguished especially by its patience and good nature. Rabbits are known for their sense of art and often make the right decisions based on their instincts.
