The sixth issue of the 12-year Lunar III series in color presents a coiled, blue snake at the bottom, surrounded by hanging leaves. Also included in the design are the inscription “SNAKE 2025” and the Perth Mint´s “P” mintmark. A special feature of this issue is a privy mark made of 1 gram of pure gold, which depicts the Chinese character for “snake”. The reverse of the coin features a portrait of King Charles III designed by Dan Thorne. The coin's weight, fineness and denomination are also shown on this side.

The zodiac sign of the snake is said to have particularly strong intuition, wisdom, intelligence and good powers of observation. People born in the year of the snake are considered cultured, sensitive, philosophical and artistic.
