Princess Diana was born Diana Frances Spencer on July 1, 1961, and married Prince Charles, the direct heir to the throne of Queen Elizabeth II, on July 29, 1981. Diana assumed numerous duties under the sign of the crown and showed extremely high social commitment. It was important to her to use her position wisely and to make the world a better place with the help of charity projects.
