This Australian Nugget silver coin is the first issue of the new series from the Perth Mint. Struck from one ounce of .9999 silver the coin shows the worldwide largest ever discovered nugget from Australia. The detailed gold nugget is framed by the inscriptions 'AUSTRALIAN NUGGET', 'WELCOME STRANGER 1869' and '2019 1oz 9999 SILVER'. From 1986 to 1989 the "Welcome Stranger Nugget" served as motive for the gold bullion coins issued by the Perth Mint. The original motive was only slightly modified on this new 2019 Australian Nugget silver bullion coin.
