The silver coin from Austria is dedicated to the Bee Dance - a phenomenon first recognized by the behavioral scientist Karl von Frisch (1886 - 1982), who was awarded the Nobel Prize for his discovery 50 years ago. The bee dance serves to inform other bees about suitable feeding places. The motive of the Easter coin shows a bee in flight, as well as two opened flowers and stylized representations of honeycombs, which include an illustration of the bee dance. The movements of the bees are indicated by arrow directions. The year of issue "2023" is also included in the design. As with all previous Austrian 5 Euro coins, the nine national coats of arms are arranged on the reverse of the nine-sided coin. The uncirculated silver coin is delivered in an illustrated blistercard.
