The Cutty Sark
1 Oz Silver - Uncirculated
- Premium Bullion Coin
- 99.9% Silver
- Mintage only 10,000 pieces
This Premium Bullion Coin is dedicated to the famous tea and wool clipper ship "The Cutty Sark". Struck from one ounce of 99.9% silver, the design shows the impressive sailing ship on high seas. The detailed design is surrounded by the inscriptions "THE CUTTY SARK", "1 ROYAL" and "Ag. 999. 1oz". The reverse features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, as well as the country of issue and the year of issue. Built in 1869, the Cutty Sark was named by Jock Willis, who chose the name in reference to Robert Burn's poem Tam O'Shanter. Known for her record-breaking speeds in the late 1800s, the sailing ship primarily carried tea from China. She was the last clipper built for maritime trade. Since 1954, the ship has been on display in a special dry dock in Greenwich, London. The strictly limited Cutty Shark silver bullion coin is delivered loose.
INFO: If you order 20 coins, the coins are delivered in the original Tube of the Mint.
