- Premium Bullion Coin
- 99.99% Silver

The seventh issue in the Prehistoric Life II Series from the Congo is dedicated to the Plateosaurus. The motive of the premium bullion coin struck from one ounce of 99.99% silver depicts a Plateosaurus in a prehistoric landscape, with further animals of its species visible in the background. Above the scene are the inscriptions "PREHISTORIC LIFE", "PLATEOSAURUS", "217 - 201 MIO YEARS BC" and the year of issue, 2026. The reverse features the coat of arms of the Democratic Republic of the Congo as well as the weight, fineness and denomination.
The Plateosaurus was a herbivorous dinosaur that lived during the Late Triassic period approximately 217 to 201 million years ago. It was one of the early long-necked dinosaurs and, depending on its age and species, reached a length of several metres. Its characteristic features included a comparatively small head, a long neck, powerful hind legs and a long tail. Plateosaurus fossils have mainly been found in Europe, including numerous significant discoveries in Germany. It was probably able to move both on all fours and, at times, on its hind legs. The limited premium bullion coin is delivered in a protective capsule.
