The first issue of the Series Prehistoric Life II from the Congo is dedicated to the dinosaur Triceratops. The motive of the premium bullion coin, struck from one ounce of 99.9% silver, features a triceratops in a prehistoric landscape. Above the dinosaur are the inscriptions "PREHISTORIC LIFE", "TRICERATOPS", "68 - 66 MIO YEARS BC" and the year of issue 2024. The reverse depicts the coat of arms of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Triceratops lived at the end of the Upper Cretaceous period in what is now North America. It belongs to the genus of bird-backed dinosaurs, which were characterized by their horns and neck shield. With a length of 9 meters and a weight of up to 12 tons, it is the largest and best-known dinosaur of its kind. The limited premium bullion coinis delivered in a protective capsule.
