The first issue in the new series Prehistoric Life from the Congo is dedicated to the Tyrannosaurus Rex (short: T-Rex). The silver coin in color depicts a T-Rex with its prey. Next to the T-Rex are the inscriptions "TYRANNOSAURUS REX", "68 - 66 MIO YEARS BC" and the year of issue 2020. The motive is framed by the title of the series "PREHISTORIC LIFE" as well as a timeline indicating the prehistoric epochs Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous. The reverse shows the coat of arms of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The Tyrannosaurus Rex roamed the earth during the time of the Late Cretaceous. The gigantic carnivore, whose name means "King of the Tyrannic Lizards", reached a body length of up to 13 meters and weighed up to 7 tons. The limited T-Rex silver coin in color is delivered in a protective capsule.
