This 2021 Silver Coin in Color is dedicated to William Bligh, whose 267th birthday will be commemorated in 2021. The coin was struck from one ounce of 99.99% pure silver in uncirculated quality and depicts the Bounty - a British Admiralty three-master that was under the command of Lieutenant William Bligh when the history-making "Mutiny on the Bounty" occurred in 1789. The legendary ship gleams in silver and stands out clearly against the colored background of the coin, which shows tropical waters. The foreground also features a portrait of William Bligh, and to the left of the ship is a colored banderole bearing the name of the "Bounty". Below the Bounty, the denomination "1 DOLLAR" and the fineness and weight are shown. The reverse shows the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the inscription "COOK ISLANDS" and the year of issue 2021. The limited color coin is delivered in a protective capsule including a product card.
