The Libertad coin in silver has been struck by the Banco de México since 1982. The coin, which is also called Onza, has no fixed denomination and is nevertheless a legal tender in Mexico. This 2024 Libertad coin was struck from 1 kilo of 99.9% silver in uncirculated quality. As in every year, the motive depicts the goddess of victory Victoria as a symbol of Mexico's independence.
