The STAR WARS™ bullion coin - Darth Vader™ was struck from one ounce of 99.9% silver by the New Zealand Mint. The motive shows the Sith Lord™ in a fighting stance with his deadly lightsaber in hand. To the left is his distinctive silhouette, engraved with his name. The design also includes the copyright of Lucasfilm™ Ltd., the fineness and weight of the coin. The reverse of the coin features the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "NIUE", "TWO DOLLARS" and "2022".

As young Anakin Skywalker, he initially was the student of the Jedi knight Obi-Wan Kenobi. He was educated to be a Jedi knight before turning to the dark side of the force and taking on the identity of Darth Vader™. In a fire, he suffered severe burns and was almost killed. Darth Sidious found him, and as part of a life-saving operation, he was given the black armor, which included the mask with distinctive breath sounds and cybernetic limbs.
