The STAR WARS™ bullion coin - Millennium Falcon™ was struck from one ounce of 99.9% silver by the New Zealand Mint. The motive shows an officially licensed image of the Millennium Falcon™. The rebel alliance logo is depicted in the background. The design also includes the copyright of Lucasfilm™ Ltd. and the logo of the New Zealand Mint. On the reverse are the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "NIUE", "TWO DOLLARS" and "2021". The legendary Millennium Falcon™ was a heavily modified YT-1300 light freighter flown by Han Solo™ and his co-pilot Chewbacca™ for the Rebel Alliance. The ship's rather run-down appearance is deceiving: hidden inside the Millennium Falcon™ was high-tech equipment that proved itself in several battles during the Rebellion. The Millennium Falcon™ also made a successful contribution to the destruction of the first and second Death Star™.
