The premium bullion coin was struck from one ounce of 99.9% silver and is dedicated to the superhero Aquaman™. It is the second release in the DC Comics™ Series featuring the famous characters of the DC universe. The motive depicts Aquaman™ with his trident in one hand. Featured in the background are the roaring waves of the ocean and three flying fish. The reverse shows the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions "5 DOLLARS", "SAMOA 2023" and "1 oz Ag 999".

Known by his real name Arthur Curry™, Aquaman™ made his first appearance in 1941. Although sometimes ridiculed for his ability to communicate with sea creatures, the son of a lighthouse keeper and an Atlantean princess is one of the most important superheroes in the DC universe. With the oceans, he commands an empire that encompasses three-quarters of the Earth's surface, along with all the creatures that live in it. Additionally, he has telepathic abilities and can move extraordinarily fast in the water. Since 1960, he has been a founding member of the Justice League™, along with Wonder Woman™, Superman™, Flash™, Green Lantern™, Batman™ and Martian Manhunter™.
