The silver coin was struck from one ounce of 99.9% silver and is dedicated to the superhero Green Lantern™. It is the fifth release in the DC Comics™ Series featuring the famous characters of the DC universe. The motive in color features a depiction of Green Lantern™ flying through space. His right hand, on which the power ring is clearly visible, is clenched into a fist. The inscription "GREEN LANTERN" is also included in the design. The reverse shows the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions "5 DOLLARS", "SAMOA 2023" and "1 oz Ag 999".

Green Lantern's first appearance was in 1940 in the All-American-Comic - issue '16. Unlike many other superheroes, Green Lantern™ does not derive his strength from a mutation or extraterrestrial origin, but from a highly developed and magical technology in the form of a ring. The logo is often seen as an interpretation of this very powerful ring. Depending on the wearer's skill and willpower, he can materialize almost anything with it.
