This special release Somalia Leopard 2023 - Black Premium Edition of the popular African Wildlife Series was struck from one kilo of 99.99% pure silver. As a special feature, the coin was fully refined with black ruthenium and the image of the leopard was plated with platinum. The African Wildlife Series from Somalia has been released since 2018 with annually changing motives of the spotted big cat. The series is very popular among collectors and investors around the world. The motive of the 2023 release depicts a powerful leopard on the prowl, roaming the grasses of the savannah. The inscriptions "AFRICAN WILDLIFE", "LEOPARD" and "1 kg Ag 999.9" are also part of the design. The reverse shows the national coat of arms of the Republic of Somalia, which depicts the Somalia flag and two leopards.
