Struck from one ounce of 99.9% silver, the motive features a detailed image of a snow leopard against a strikingly patterned background. The inscriptions "ONE OUNCE", "CASH", and "999 SILVER" surround the design. The reverse features the portrait of King Charles III as well as the denomination and year of issue.

The snow leopard is a big cat that lives in the high mountains of Asia, India and Russia. It looks similar to a leopard, but has a thicker, longer and gray coat that serves as camouflage. The snow leopard inhabits rocky and rugged mountain regions at altitudes of up to 6000 meters. Like most cat species, it is a solitary animal and feeds on rodents and medium-sized ungulates. The population of the snow leopard is now highly endangered, partly due to fur hunting. The mintage is limited to only 7,500 pieces worldwide.
