The Premium Bullion coin from the India Wildlife Series is dedicated to the Rhino. Struck from one ounce of 99.9% silver, the motive features a detailed image of a rhino against a strikingly patterned background. The inscriptions "ONE OUNCE", "CASH", and "999 SILVER" surround the design. The reverse features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the denomination and year of issue.

The Indian rhinoceros (Rhinoceros unicornis) is also known as the greater one-horned rhinoceros. Its habitat is limited to the Indian subcontinent and southern Nepal. With a shoulder height of up to 185 centimeters and a weight of more than two tons, this rhino is considered the largest among the three Asian rhino species. Like the Java rhinoceros, the Indian rhinoceros is characterized by a single horn on the nose, distinguishing it from the two-horned rhinoceroses of Africa and Asia.
