The 2022 Silver Eagle Set "Four Seasons" is dedicated to the Year of Glass. The "Walking Liberty" on the coins has been colored to match the season to which the coin is assigned. While on the classic "Silver Eagle" coin she carries an olive and an oak branch in her left arm, here it is typical spring, summer, autumn and winter plants. The reverse sides of the four "glass" themed coins included in the set show various areas where glass is used today. A vase, a glass building, a cognac glass, and eyeglasses all point to the versatility of glass as a material. Each of the images is surrounded by glitter particles that vary in color from coin to coin. The resulting effect further emphasizes the "glass" theme and creates a particularly classy and eye-catching look for the four silver coins. Glass consists mainly of silicon dioxide.
