Halloween - Myth, legend, holiday. Even in Germany, the custom of walking through the dark streets in disguise on October 31st to collect sweets is becoming more and more popular. In the German area known as All Saints' Day, this holiday is originally associated with the Catholic Church and was carried to the USA by Catholic Irish. The first coin of the 2024 issue, entitled Howling Wolfes, shows two wolves howling at the full moon. A cemetery can be seen in the background. The year of issue “2024” can also be seen. The reverse shows the American bald eagle with an oak branch in its talons. The eagle design is framed by the words “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”, “ONE DOLLAR - 1OZ. FINE SILVER”.
