Halloween - Myth, legend, holiday. Even in Germany, the custom of walking through the dark streets in disguise on October 31st to collect sweets is becoming more and more popular. In the German area known as All Saints' Day, this holiday is originally associated with the Catholic Church and was carried to the USA by Catholic Irish. The second coin of the 2024 issue, entitled “Skeleton”, shows a terrifying skeleton wearing a red cape and holding a sceptre in its hand. Numerous scary pumpkins are scattered around the skeleton and black roses and red tulips can be seen. The year of issue “2024” is also clearly visible on the coin. The reverse features the American bald eagle with an oak branch in its talons. The eagle design is framed by the words “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”, “ONE DOLLAR - 1OZ. FINE SILVER”. The limited Halloween special edition Skeleton is delivered in a capsule including a suitably illustrated product card.
