Halloween - Myth, legend, holiday. Even in Germany, the custom of walking through the dark streets in disguise on October 31st to collect sweets is becoming more and more popular. In the German area known as All Saints' Day, this holiday is originally associated with the Catholic Church and was carried to the USA by Catholic Irish. The third coin of the 2024 issue, entitled Spooky House, shows a haunted house and numerous grim pumpkins in the foreground lining the path to the house. Other spooky buildings can be seen in the background. Some bats are flying in the sky, which is brightly lit by the full moon. The year of issue “2024” can also be seen. The reverse features the American bald eagle with an oak branch in its talons. The eagle design is framed by the words “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”, “ONE DOLLAR - 1OZ. FINE SILVER”. The limited Halloween special edition Spooky House is delivered in a capsule including a suitably illustrated product card.
