The seventh issue of the Silver Eagle series "Inventions" is dedicated to the Airplane. The motive in color shows a depiction of Konrad Zuse together with the computer he developed called "Z3". The bottom edge of the coin features the year of issue "2023" while the inscription "LIBERTY" lines the top edge of the coin. The reverse features the American bald eagle with an oak branch in its talons. Framing the eagle design are the words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "ONE DOLLAR - 1OZ. FINE SILVER".
Konrad Ernst Otto Zuse was born in 1910 and was a German civil engineer, entrepreneur and inventor. In collaboration with Helmut Schreyer, he developed the so-called "Zuse Z3" in 1941, which was the world's first functional computer. The development of the first digital computer was preceded by the models Z1, which still worked mechanically, and Z2. The original Z3 computer was destroyed by bombing during the Second World War, whereupon a functional replica was constructed in 1961. The features that distinguished the Z3 included the use of the binary number system, floating point number calculation, microprograms and numerical special values. The Inventions - Computer Silver Eagle coin in color is delivered in a protective capsule including an illustrated product card.
* This coin has been colored by a private company.
