- 1 Ounce 99.9% Silver
- Mintage only 2,500 pieces

The second issue of the new Silver Eagle series "Inventions" is dedicated to the Steam locomotive. The motive in color features a steam locomotive on its journey through a leafy landscape. The year of issue "2023" is on the bottom edge of the coin, while the inscription "LIBERTY" lines the top edge of the coin. The reverse features the American bald eagle with an oak branch in its talons. Framing the eagle design are the words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "ONE DOLLAR - 1OZ. FINE SILVER."
The invention of the steam locomotive was preceded by the invention of the steam engine, which is capable of converting heat energy contained in steam into mechanical work with the help of a piston. The steam engine thus serves as a drive for the steam locomotive. The first functioning locomotive running on rails was built in 1804 by Richard Trevithick and still symbolizes the development of industry, which would hardly have been possible without rail traffic and the transport of all kinds of goods it made possible. The Inventions - Steam Locomotive Silver Eagle coin in color is delivered in a protective capsule including an illustrated product card.
* This coin has been colored by a private company.
