The sixth issue of the 10 coin series Landmarks USA - Top 10 is dedicated to the Grand Canyon. The ancient canyon with a length of 446 kilometres is located in the Northwest of Arizona and belongs to the greatest natural wonders on earth. In 1979 the canyon was inscribed on the UNESCO World Natural Heritage List. The American national park is explored by about 5 million tourists every year - the Southern edge of the canyon (South Rim) is especially highly frequented - presumably due of its good infrastructure. The motive of the coin shows a section of the canyon in typical colors. The reverse of the silver coin shows the American bald eagle, the national bird of the United States. The eagle is enframed by 13 stars and the words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "1OZ. FINE SILVER - ONE DOLLAR". The limited silver coin in color is delivered in a capsule including a product card.
* This coin has been colored by a private company.
