The Wildlife Series is dedicated to the diverse fauna of Andorra. This silver coin was struck from one ounce of 99.9% silver in the shape of the Pyrenean state and features a colorful depiction of the Chamois. The inscription "NATURA ISARD" is also included in the design. The chamois is ideally adapted to its habitat - the high mountains. With the help of its split hooves it can make very high and long jumps in steep and rocky terrain. In addition, it has an increased proportion of red blood cells, which allows its body to be supplied with sufficient oxygen even under heavy strain. In Germany, it is found in the Alps, the Swabian Alb and the Black Forest. Additionally, it is also common in the Pyrenees, the Apennines and the mountains of Romania, as well as in Yugoslavia and Greece.
