- 99,99% Silver
- Mintage only 2,500 pieces
- With numbered Certificate of Authenticity

The Perth Mint dedicates this one ounce 99.99% silver coin to the Australian Emu. The motive of the coin features both a standing and a lying emu in a typical Australian landscape. The design also includes the mintmark "P" of the Perth Mint and the inscriptions "AUSTRALIAN EMU", "2020" as well as weight and fineness of the coin. Like ostrich and kiwi, the emu belongs to the so-called ratite family. Because they are very large and heavy, they cannot fly, but they can run very persistently and fast. Emu are at home all over Australia. These adaptable animals can reach an age of up to 20 years and feed mainly on grass, flowers, seeds, fruits and insects. The Australian emu is considered to be the second largest bird in the world after the ostrich. The mintage of this issue is limited to only 2,500 pieces worldwide. The silver coin in proof quality is delivered in the original box including a numbered certificate of authenticity from the Perth Mint.
