The 2024 Australian Kangaroo Silver Coin was struck by the Perth Mint from 1 ounce of 99,99% pure silver. The motive features the classic artistry of a bounding Red Kangaroo surrounded by stylized rays of sunlight. On the right side is the mint mark "P125", which refers to the 125th anniversary of the Australian mint. Also included in the design are the inscriptions "AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO", the year of issue, the weight "1oz", the fineness "9999" and "SILVER". The coin is the first Perth Mint issue released with the Dan Thorne portrait of King Charles III on the reverse. The mintage of the Australian Kangaroo silver proof coin is limited to 7,500 pieces worldwide. It is delivered in the original box including a numbered certificate of authenticity from the Perth Mint.
