The gilded silver coin is dedicated to the Australian Kangaroo - one of Australia's most famous landmarks. The coin was struck by the Perth Mint from two ounces of 99.99% pure silver in proof quality. The motive depicts an adult kangaroo looking over its shoulder. A eucalyptus tree and grass trees can be seen in the background. While the kangaroo in the foreground appears in silver, the entire background has been gilded with 24-carat gold. The inscriptions "KANGAROO" and "2 Oz 9999 Silver" as well as the year of issue "2023" and the Perth Mint's mint mark "P" are also included in the design. The reverse features the Jody Clark portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the years of her reign and the denomination. The mintage is limited to 3,000 pieces worldwide. The gilded 2 Oz Australian Kangaroo silver coin is delivered in the original box including a numbered certificate of authenticity of the Perth Mint.
