The coin was struck by the Perth Mint from one ounce of 99.99% pure silver in proof quality. The colorful motive of the coin features a full-grown kangaroo jumping over a dried-up riverbed. In the background are a wind turbine and a water tank, which are typically found on Australian farms and are part of the vital infrastructure in rural areas. The motive also shows the inscription "KANGAROO" and the mintmark "P125", which refers to the 125th anniversary of the Perth Mint. Details of the weight and fineness complete the design. The reverse shows the Dan Thorne portrait of King Charles III and the denomination. The limited Australian Kangaroo silver coin is delivered in the original box including a numbered certificate of authenticity from the Perth Mint.
