The coin was struck by the Perth Mint from 5 ounces of 99.99% pure silver in proof quality. The design shows a full-grown kangaroo in the foreground and a young one in the background. Also included in the design are the inscriptions "AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO", "2020" and "5oz 9999 SILVER". The reverse features the Jody Clark portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the denomination "8 DOLLARS" as well as the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II" and "AUSTRALIA". The strictly limited High Relief silver coin is delivered in the original box including a numbered certificate of authenticity from the Perth Mint.
