The Antique Finish coin was struck from two ounces of 99.99% pure silver and is dedicated to the Western Grey Kangaroo, also known as the "Yongka". The motive features a depiction of the western grey kangaroo against a colorful patterned background. The original painting is by Kevin Bynder of the Whadjuk-Yuet-Ballardong people. The works of the Australian artist and teacher are inspired by the nature of Western Australia and reflect the history and knowledge of his people. The western grey kangaroo (Macropus fuliginosus), common in the southern parts of Australia, holds special spiritual significance in the ancestral stories of many indigenous Australians.
