To celebrate the 30th anniversary in 2020, the Australian Kookaburra silver coin was released in a special design. A laughing kookaburra, enthroned on a roof at dawn and at sunrise, adorns this issue as a synonym for the Australian outback. The design also includes the words 'AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA', the occasion of issue '30th ANNIVERSARY', the weight and fineness of the coin and the mint mark 'P' of the Perth Mint. The reverse of the coin shows the denomination, the inscriptions 'ELIZABETH II' and 'AUSTRALIA', the dates '1990' and '2020' and the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. - It also features Stuart Devlin's depiction of a kookaburra on a tree stump, which appeared as an illustration on the 1990 kookaburra silver coin. The 2020 Kookaburra coin was struck by the Perth Mint from an ounce of 99.99% pure silver. The limited high-relief silver proof coin is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity from the Perth Mint.
