This remarkable High Relief issue of the popular Kookaburra coin was struck by the Perth Mint from 2 kilo of 99.99% pure silver. The motive of the coin features a Kookaburra flying in Perth's Kings Park with the city skyline in the background. The coin edge contains the inscriptions "AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA" and "2020 2 KILO 9999 SILVER". The reverse depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the denomination. The coin has been individually ‘antiqued’ to give it a unique finish. As a result of this treatment, the appearance of each coin may vary. The Australian kookaburra is the largest member of the kingfisher family and known as the "king of the bush". They live mostly in woodlands, but also in urban areas such as the Perth's Kings Park. The strictly limited Kookaburra 2 Kilo High Relief silver coin is presented in a clear acrylic case and is delivered in the original wooden box including a numbered certificate of authenticity from the Perth Mint.
