To celebrate the 30th Anniversary in 2020, the Australian Kookaburra silver coin is released in a particularly extraordinary design. The laughing kookaburra, which adorns the motive of the High Relief coin, has been plated with 24-carat gold. The outer ring of the coin has also been gilded, thus giving this coin a very unique look. The design also includes the inscriptions 'AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA', the occasion of issue '30th ANNIVERSARY', the weight and fineness and the mint mark 'P' of the Perth Mint. The reverse of the coin shows the denomination, the inscriptions 'ELIZABETH II' and 'AUSTRALIA', '1990' and '2020' and the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. - It also features Stuart Devlin's depiction of a kookaburra on a tree stump, which appeared as an illustration on the 1990 first kookaburra silver coin. The 2020 Kookaburra coin was struck by the Perth Mint from an ounce of 99.99% pure silver. The strictly limited gilded high relief silver proof coin is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity from the Perth Mint.
